The growing acceptance of men at women's races represents a sort of reverse Title IX, the federal law that opened the doors for women to compete in many sports. But men aren't exactly jumping at the chance, even at women's races that actively encourage male participation, such as the Nike Women's Half Marathon.

I don't think I'd feel at all comfortable running in a "woman's" race. Let women and men have their own races if they so choose - races are generally funded privately and it should be their right to include or exclude anyone they like.
I don't think there are many who would agree that the Special Olympics should be inclusive to anyone who wants to participate with or without a handicap.
